A fatal hit-and-run in East Los Angeles is under investigation Saturday, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
Paramedics and police officers responded to a hit-and-run at 11:10 p.m. Friday at 726 W. Imperial Highway that killed an 80-year-old man.
The victim was crossing the street when an unidentified vehicle struck him at high speed before fleeing the scene, according to police.
After blocking the street, investigators began exploring the surrounding area for evidence pointing to the suspect, who remains at large.
